For several months now, WWE has been teasing the separation of one of the most successful factions in the world of professional wrestling, The New Day.
Former NXT World Champion Karrion Kross had been feeding ideas to Xavier Woods claiming Kofi Kingston is using him. Kross also tried to convince Woods that the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion did not believe in him. WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray recently claimed that the end of the New Day is almost here.
The New Day has been a faction for over a decade. It is one of the few factions that has stayed together at all times. But over the past few weeks, former King of the Ring winner Xavier Woods has shown a lot of dismay at Kofi Kingston’s actions. This past week on Raw, The New Day was unsuccessful in defeating The Judgment Day. Woods was furious about how things turned out.
While speaking on a recent episode of the Busted Open Radio Podcast, Bully Ray mentioned that the end of The New Day is near. Ray pitched an idea about how things will turn out. He stated that the issue between Woods and Kingston should reach its boiling point. At that moment, Big E should come out.
“I think we’ve seen the next step towards the end of The New Day. I definitely want to see Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston come to a boil, come to a head … and then you play Big E’s music.”
Bully Ray: Xavier Woods would be a better heel than Kingston once The New Day breaks up
Bully Ray also prefers Xavier Woods to turn heel as he believes that Woods could be a much better heel than Kofi Kingston.
“I think Xavier Woods has more heel tendencies in him than Kofi. I don’t think people would hate Kofi as easily as they can hate Woods. And if you know Woods personally .. .there’s definitely a heel lurking beneath the surface,” Bully Ray said. [H/T Wrestling Inc.]
