CM Punk appeared on WWE NXT, and he was confronted by NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez.
Punk came to the ring on Tuesday and highlighted how he enjoyed NXT and watching the development of future stars. He also noted that he did some scouting, as he would be facing some of those stars someday. He name-dropped Lexis King, Carmelo Hayes, Ethan Page, and Bron Breakker. Punk also joked that he had shirts older than Je’Von Evans.
Punk then said that he begged Shawn Michaels to let him be a part of the October 1 episode of NXT in Chicago, and he had an idea.
NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez interrupted and, after highlighting her fandom of Punk, she noted that she always preferred his wife, AJ Lee.
Perez then said that she should have been a Drew McIntyre fan, as Punk clearly just wanted one more moment of glory before McIntyre beat him. She said that Chicago would be her city after she beat Giulia.
Punk responded by commending Perez for having guts and maximizing her minutes. He said that he used to have a chip on her shoulder that was about Perez’s size. Punk said that she might be better than RAW stars Bianca Belair and IYO SKY, but that wouldn’t matter when Giulia beat her. Giulia came out and told Perez that she had two weeks. Perez tried to attack her, but Punk got in the way and separated them.
