NBA star Tyrese Haliburton appeared on the September 17 episode of WWE NXT.
Haliburton, a two-time All-Star with the Indiana Pacers, had expressed his interest in stopping by, and Shawn Michaels invited him to the show. Tuesday’s episode kicked off with a contract signing that ended without signatures, as NXT Champion Ethan Page slammed Trick Williams through a table.
Backstage, NXT General Manager Ava spoke with Haliburton. He said he would make sure that Page and Williams signed the contract by the end of the night.
Haliburton appeared again at the end of the show and cut a promo. He took a shot at the Orlando Magic and noted that some of his Pacers teammates were in attendance. He ensured that Williams and Page signed the contract before he introduced CM Punk, who announced that he would be the special referee.
Tyrese Haliburton previously appeared on the June 28 episode of WWE SmackDown. He got involved in the Triple Threat between Santos Escobar, LA Knight, and Logan Paul. There, he squared off with fellow NBA star Jalen Brunson.
Haliburton also won a gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics as part of Team USA.
