Contract Signing

NXT GM Ava is in the ring. Ava announce the card for the first NXT on CW. Ava introduces the participants of the NXT Championship Match. The challenger Trick Williams is out first. Williams jokes about Pete Dunne being a “Butch,” and how he won the last man standing match last week. Williams is going to make history when he wins back his NXT Championship. The NXT Champion Ethn Page interrupt.

The crowd sings about Page needing to put on some clothes. Page says he’s Williams’ Kryptonite. Williams tells Page he stole the championship from him. Page fires up about EARNING the championship. On October first, Page promises to put an end to Williams and the era of ego will continue. Williams tries to respond, but Page kicks him in the gut and hits the Ego’s Edge though the table. Page walks away, but no one has signed the contract.

Last week Tony D’Angelo gets in Hammerstone’s face about losing to Oba Femi. D’Angelo tells Hammerstone that the needs to go back and get the job done. Hammerstone says

Lyra Valkyria and Tatum Paxley vs. Rosemary and Wendy Choo

Valkyria and Paxley take control early, working over Rosemary. Rosemary and Choo eventually take over and take turns working over Paxely. Paxley manages to tag in Valkyria, who clears the ring. Choo belly-to-belly suplexes Paxley off the top. Rosemary follows that with a spear. Paxley grabs the bottom rope. Valkyria pulls Choo out of the ring. Paxley hits her finish on Rosemary. Valkyria follows that with a leg drop to the back of Rosemary’s head for the win.

Winners- Lyra Valkyra and Tatum Paxley

Backstage, Ava says she is going to get the contract signed.

Tony D’Angelo w/The D’Angelo Family vs. Hammerstone

D’Angelo lands a series of spinebusters. Hamerston fires back and lands a few strikes of his own. D’Angelo tries a clothesline, but it has no effect on Hammerstone. Hammerston fires up and lands a clothesline of his own. Belly-to-belly by Hammerstone. North American Champion Oba Femi is watching from backstage. D’Angelo rolls out of the ring and stares at Hammerstone. The camera cuts back to Femi. Femi chuckles and says, “he’s broken.” Back at ringside, D’Angelo walks away and gets counted out.

Winner- Hammerstone

Ashante “Thee” Adonis vs. Eddy Thorpe

Adonis attacks Thrope before the bell rings. Thorpe fires back, but ends up getting choked in the ropes. Adonis is all over Thorpe, lying in stiff strikes. Thorpe can’t get out of the gates. Thorpe is sent out of the ring. Adonis lands a dive. Adonis gets distracts blowing a kiss to a women int he crowd and misses a dive off the top. Thorpe drops Adoins with an implant DDT for the win.

Winner- Eddy Thorpe

In-Ring Segment: CM Punk

Punk says he is in a bit of a different mood than he was last night on Monday Night Raw. Tonight he wants to have some fun. Punk puts over the talent that are working to develop their craft in NXT. Punk knows that eventually he’s going to bump heads with superstars like Lexis King, and stars like Carmelo Hayes and Bron Breakker who are tearing it up on the main roster. Shawn Michaels reached out to Punk to let him know NXT is coming to his home town. HBK told Punk he can be part of the show and Punk can do whatever the wants to. NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez interrupts.

Perez notes that the 14 year old her would be freaking out sharing the ring with her favorite wrestler of all time, CM Punk…but… Perez always did prefer Punk’s wife. After all this time, Perez realized something: she should have been a Drew McIntyre fan. Perez doesn’t want CM Punk in NXT. When Perez beats Giulia in Chicago, it will no longer be Punk’s town, it will be Perez’s. Punk says he kinda loves that Perez interrupted him here tonight. He can appreciate an overconfident champion.

Punk used to have a chip on his shoulder too, in fact, it was about the size of Perez. Punk didn’t come here to talk about Giulia, but they can since it obviously annoys someone. Giulia’s music hits. Giulia joins Punk and Perez in the ring. Perez is fuming. Giulia tells Perez she only has two weeks left. Guilia drops the mic and starts to walk away. Perez tries a sneak attack, but Punk steps in the way. Perez is livid. Giulia steps up to Perez, but Punk holds her back.

No Quarter Catch Crew (Myles Borne and Tavion Heights) vs. Je’Von Evans and Cedric Alexander

Evans and Alexander both land a series of strikes on Borne. Heights and Bron double team Alexander. After the break, Kelani Jordan runs down to ringside and chases Wren Sinclair. Back in the ring, Alexander destroys Borne with the Lumbar Check. Evans lands a corkscrew splash for the win.

Winners- Je’Von Evans and Cedric Alexander

Afrer the match, it’s announced that Randy Orton wants to face Je’Von Evens when he comes to NXT in ST. Louis.

Dion Lennox vs. Brooks Jensen w/Shawn Spears

Jenson tosses Lennox all over the ring. Lennox sends Jensen out of the ring with a dropkick. Spinebuster by Lennox. Jensen kick out. Back suplex by Jensen. Jensen levels Lennox with a spinning heel kick. Jensen puts on Lennox’s glasses and mocks him. Lennox fires up and lands a flurry of strikes. Big back boy drop by Lennox. Spears distracts Lennox. Jensen lands a DDT for the win.

Winner- Brooks Jensen

Jacy Jayne w/Fatal Influence vs. Lola Vice

As soon a the bell rings both women brawl. Vice lands a flurry of strikes. Jayne rolls out of the ring. After a distraction from Nyx, Jayne drives Vice into the ring apron. Jayne mocks Vice’s hip shake taunt before crushing her with a cannonball. Vice fires up with a series of kicks. Fallon Henley tries to get involved but Vice avoids the interference and drops Jayne with a spinning back fist. Vice pins Jayne.

Winner- Lola Vice

After the match, Fatal Influence attacks Vice. Jaida Parker hits the ring and makes the save.

In-Ring Segment: Tyrese Haliburton

Haliburton notes that he has backup with him in the crowd tonight. Some of his Indiana Pacer’s teammates are in the crowd. The crowd boos. Haliburton jokes that he would be made too if he was an Orlando Magic fan. Trick Williams is out first. Williams says Page needs to get out here and sign the contract before he signs Page’s forehead with his Gucci loafer. Williams signs the contract. Page walks to the ring, complaining about having to sign the contract. Page signs. Haliburton says that’s all they got and starts to leave.

Haliburton stops and says wait, one more thing, hit the music. CM Punk’s music hits. Punk joins Page and Williams in the ring. Punk says this match is the reason he is here tonight because a match as important as hit needs something… special. This match needs a special guest referee. Punk announces he will be the special referee. Since Punk is the official, he decrees Page and Williams can start fighting right now. Williams and Page tear into each other. Securty hits the ring while Punk sits back and watches. Security sepeartes Williams and Page, but they are close enough to scream in each other’s faces about how much they hate each other.
