Grayson Waller and Austin Theory have their sights set on the NXT Tag Team Championship.
In a tweet, Grayson Waller shared a clip in which he commented on NXT Tag Team Champions Nathan Frazer and Axiom getting attacked by The Bloodline on NXT. He noted that he kind of missed having titles. Theory said he never got his opportunity to be a tag team champion in NXT, and Waller said that he hadn’t either. He stated that he wanted to change that.
Waller brought up NXT’s show in Missouri and said maybe they should challenge for the titles there. He then said that he and Theory should have Nathan Frazer and Axiom on The Grayson Waller Effect on the September 24 episode of NXT.
Frazer later responded and accepted the challenge.
NXT will emanate from the District in Chesterfield, Missouri, on October 8. This will be the first show after NXT’s CW premiere on October 1.
Update: WWE later confirmed the title match for the October 8 episode of NXT.
