Jey Uso loved working with Sami Zayn.
The pair worked closely on-screen in 2022, both as part of Roman Reigns’ Bloodline stable. Sami Zayn was the comedic foil to Jey Uso, with the pair clashing numerous times over the months leading up to Zayn leaving the group at the 2023 Royal Rumble.
They even clashed in a WrestleMania main event. Zayn teamed with Kevin Owens to bear The Usos in the main event of WrestleMania 39, night one. That seemed to end their connection, but Jey Uso definitely isn’t done with Sami Zayn.
Jey Uso recently spoke with The Metro, and revealed how much he enjoyed working with Sami Zayn.
He spoke about how he’d like to be a “full-blown tag team” with Zayn, while calling their time together in The Bloodline the “best times of my wrestling career”.
‘I know we hated each other on screen, but we really love each other in the back.” Jey Uso said. But it just came off on TV, so organically. You will have little glimpses of me and him on Raw but man, I really want to go like, full-blown tag team with him and try to see how that goes.’
He smiled: ‘One of the most best times of my wrestling career was that Bloodline, with Sami Zayn.
Jey Uso Doesn’t Know What’s Going To Happen With The Bloodline Story, Teases Surprises
Later in the interview, Jey Uso spoke about how excited he is to see the new Bloodline storyline unfold.
However, he noted that he doesn’t know what the plan is going forward, or if he would be involved at all. Additionally, he did say that if he was brought back into the fold, he’d like to bring Sami Zayn with him.
“I’m looking forward to the Bloodline storyline as much as you all are, because I’ll be honest, I don’t know what we’re going to do, I don’t know what’s going to happen. I don’t know how they’re going to intertwine me back in there… Sami would be my first pick, right? It only makes sense. Hey, we might have other family members, more surprises, man.”
