Bully Ray doesn’t see Chris Jericho retiring without one last run in WWE.
The former WWE and AEW Champion hasn’t wrestled for the company since the Greatest Royal Rumble in 2018. Since leaving the WWE, he has been a mainstay in AEW and has wrestled in promotions like NJPW, CMLL and PWG.
The 53-year-old has been wrestling since 1990. His 34-year career has been one of the most iconic in wrestling history, but it could possibly come to an end soon.
However, Bully Ray doesn’t think Chris Jericho will retire until he has one last run in the WWE.
Bully Ray spoke on Busted Open Radio (H/T to WrestlingInc for the transcription) about Chris Jericho’s future. The tag team legend thinks that Jericho will make the jump to WWE before his career is done, and will retire as part of the company he spent nearly twenty years with.
He also added that Chris Jericho will “pull and Axl Rose”. The Guns N’ Roses singer famously no-showed his Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction. Bully Ray expects Jericho to do the same when he goes in the WWE Hall of Fame.
“Chris Jericho will finish his career in the WWE.” Bully Ray told Busted Open Radio. “End of story, and be inducted into the Hall of Fame, and then pull an Axl Rose and no-show his Hall of Fame induction.”
“Chris is very smart, Chris is a master chess player,” said Bully. “You don’t think that the WWE sees the value of Chris Jericho’s last run in the WWE? … It’s a no-brainer.”
