Jey Uso will challenge for the gold on the September 23 episode of WWE RAW.
Jey Uso earned a shot at the WWE Intercontinental Championship by winning a four-way Number One Contender’s Match on the September 9 episode of WWE RAW. He defeated Braun Strowman, Ilja Dragunov, and Pete Dunne. Uso previously beat Karrion Kross and Kofi Kingston to advance to the finals. WWE confirmed that Uso would challenge Bron Breakker for the title on the September 23 episode of WWE RAW.
On the September 16 episode of RAW, Uso came to the ring and looked forward to capturing his first singles title. Breakker interrupted and said that he had already done more in six months as a singles star than Uso had in 14 years. He also said that Uso was nothing without his family.
Uso fired back by saying that he was winning titles while Breakker was still in diapers. He took a shot at Breakker’s NFL career, saying that his reign might end up short and sweet like his time playing professional football. He also vowed to win the gold.
WrestleZone has coverage of WWE RAW as it airs every Wednesday.
