Jeff Cobb will make his in-ring return to the Philippines for the first time in five years for the Filipino Pro Wrestling promotion.
Though he was born and raised outside of the Philippines, Jeff Cobb is of Filipino descent on his mother’s side of the family.
Following the main event of the FPW Unfinished Business show, FPW President Red Ollero revealed that inaugural FPW Champion Mike Madrigal will defend his belt against Jeff Cobb. Filipino Pro Wrestling also took to their official social media pages to break the surprising news.
Jeff is the reigning NJPW World Television Champion, and he has held the title for 135 days and counting. He won the title from Zack Sabre Jr. at NJPW Wrestling Dontaku in May earlier this year.
This return furthermore marks Jeff Cobb’s second match in the Philippines. His first and only match in the country was back in 2019 where he competed in a 3-Way Battle for the now defunct Philippine Wrestling Revolution promotion. There, he faced off against local Filipino wrestlers Chris Panzer and Quatro for the PWR Championship. He was, however, unable to pick up the victory at the time.
WrestleZone will provide additional updates on Jeff Cobb’s upcoming Filipino Pro Wrestling appearance as the story develops.
