TNA Victory Road Results (9/13/24): Nic Nemeth vs. Moose, Jordynne Grace vs. Wendy Choo

On September 13, TNA presented TNA Victory Road from the Boeing Center at Tech Port in San Antonio, Texas.

Among other matches, Nic Nemeth defended the TNA World Championship against Moose. Plus, Jordynne Grace defended the TNA Knockouts World Championship against Wendy Choo.

KUSHIDA vs. Leon Slater

KUSHIDA and Slater feel each other out, and they’re evenly matched early on. KUSHIDA gains the upper hand, but Slater showcases his quickness and resets the bout. Slater catches KUSHIDA with a handspring back elbow. Slater rocks KUSHIDA with a kick. KUSHIDA sends Slater to the outside and dives onto Slater. KUSHIDA targets Slater’s arm. Slater rallies but eats a dropkick. Slater fires up and trades blows with KUSHIDA. They keep battling.

Slater escapes the Hover Board Lock and sends KUSHIDA to the outside. He dives onto KUSHIDA. Back in the ring, KUSHIDA slams Slater off the top and makes him tap out to the arm-bar.

Winner: KUSHIDA

Hammerstone & Jake Something vs. Eric Young & Steve Maclin

The two teams start brawling right away. Hammerstone and Something take control. Something accidentally collides with Something, and Maclin rallies. He takes the fight to Hammerstone with a series of strikes. Something trucks over Maclin at ringside and gains the upper hand. He and Hammerstone isolate Maclin. Maclin fires up with a running knee. Young tags in and clears house with a flurry of offense.

Young hits a gutwrench powerbomb. He keeps rolling, but Hammerstone blasts him with a boot. Maclin hits a running Spear in the corner, and Young gets a two-count with a diving elbow drop. Something slams Maclin. Hammerstone traps Maclin in the Torture Wrack, but Young breaks it up. Something pins Young with Into The Void.

The Hardys (Matt Hardy & Jeff Hardy) vs. First Class (A.J. Francis & KC Navarro)

Jeff Hardy and KC Navarro start the bout and feel each other out. Jeff gains the upper hand, and The Hardys double-team Navarro. Matt Hardy maintains the upper hand. Francis grabs Matt from behind, and Navarro tries to attack him, but Matt throws him onto Francis. Navarro takes control and grounds Hardy. Francis overpowers Matt and keeps him grounded.

Matt evades a Swanton Bomb attempt by Francis. Jeff tags in and fires up with an offensive flurry. Francis tags in and slams Jeff. The Hardys take Francis down with a double suplex. Francis hits a diving splash. Francis goes for a double chokeslam, but The Hardys drop him with a DDT. They clothesline him to the outside. Jeff hits Navarro with a Twist of Fate. Matt drops Navarro with a neckbreaker.

The Hardys hit a Twist of Fate/Swanton combination for the win.

Zachary Wentz Defends The Gold

TNA X-Division Championship: Zachary Wentz (c) vs. “Speedball” Mike Bailey

Wentz and Bailey go back and forth in the early going. They both showcase their athleticism, and they’re evenly matched. Wentz gains the upper hand and rocks Bailey with a superkick. He dives onto Bailey at ringside. Wentz kicks Bailey’s arm and continues to target it. Bailey stuns Wentz with a kick and dives onto him with a moonsault at ringside. Bailey hits diving knees while Wentz is hung up on the ropes.

Bailey wrenches Wentz’s legs in a submission hold. Wentz gets a two-count with a pin attempt. Wentz lights him up with a series of kicks. Bailey hits Wentz with some more kicks. They battle back and forth, and both men are down. Wentz and Bailey trade strikes. Both men go crashing over the ropes and down to the floor on a crossbody by Wentz. Bailey dives onto Wentz with a moonsault. Wentz dodges a dive and nails Bailey with a knee strike. Bailey hits double knees on the corner.

Wentz slams Bailey head-first onto the floor at ringside. Wentz stomps on Bailey’s back. Bailey gets his knees up for a Swanton and drills Wentz with a kick. Bailey gets a two-count with a kick. Wentz hits a diving cutter for a two-count. Bailey takes control and hits a Shooting Star Press for a near fall. He rocks Wentz with a kick. Wentz dodges Ultimate Weapon and gets a two-count with a pin attempt. He hits a flipping DDT. Bailey catches Wentz with a Poison-rana. Wentz hits a running kick. Bailey hits the Flamingo Driver for the win.

Steph De Lander Makes An Announcement

PCO & Rhino vs. Matt Cardona & Steph De Lander

De Lander gets a microphone and says her career has felt like a dream. She says that she’s proud to be there in a TNA ring. De Lander continues to reflect on her journey but says that PCO and Cardona need to figure this out. She reveals that she needs neck surgery. She says that she has needed neck surgery for a long time, but she’s been fighting through it because she didn’t want to let anyone down. De Lander says Cardona has been a jerk lately, but she could never forget everything they had been through.

She thanks Cardona and tells PCO she found true love in TNA. She says this friction is not healthy, and she needs them to figure this out without her. De Lander says this is not a retirement speech, as she has more to give to TNA, the business, and the fans. She says this is not a goodbye, but I’ll see you later. She tells the fans she loves them. De Lander hugs PCO, and they walk to the back. Cardona kicks the ropes while Rhino is leaving. He drops Rhino with Radio Silence.

Spitfire Must Win Or Disband

TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Championship: Masha Slamovich & Tasha Steelz (c) (with Alisha Edwards) vs. Spitfire (Dani Luna & Jody Threat)

Luna and Steelz start the bout, and they’re evenly matched early on. Threat and Luna double-team Slamovich and control the action. Slamovich rallies with a Brainbuster. Steelz maintains the advantage and grounds Threat. Threat rallies with Three Amigos. Steelz takes control again, but Threat keeps fighting. Luna tags in and clears house. She gets a two-count with a powerbomb. Luna breaks up a pin count by counting a Sliced Bread. She blocks another double-team. Luna and Threat hit a double-team move for the win.

Edwards scolds Slamovich after the match. Slamovich gets in her face, and Steelz attacks Slamovich from behind. She continues to attack Slamovich, and she stands tall with Edwards.

Backstage, Hammerstone and Jake Something celebrate their win and say anyone who gets in their way will suffer the same fate.

Joe Hendry Battles Josh Alexander

Joe Hendry vs. Josh Alexander

Hendry cuts a pre-match promo and gets the fans hyped up. Alexander and Hendry lock up and go back and forth. Alexander gains the upper hand, but Hendry fires up and hits Alexander with a stalling suplex. Alexander regains the advantage and traps Hendry in an ankle lock, but Hendry escapes. The former world champion dumps Hendry with a German suplex. Alexander traps Hendry in a guillotine, but Hendry suplexes his way out. Hendry rallies and slams Alexander.

Alexander counters the Standing Ovation but eats a powerbomb. Alexander drops Hendry with a backbreaker. Hendry counters the C4 Spike and crotches Alexander on the ropes. He hits a Fallaway Slam from the second rope. Hendry and Alexander trade blows. Alexander catches Hendry in the ankle lock, but Hendry reaches the ropes. Hendry rallies again.

The referee gets knocked down. Hendry counters the C4 Spike and traps Alexander in the ankle lock. Alexander taps out, but the referee is down. Alexander kicks Hendry below the belt, but Hendry reveals that he was wearing a cup.

He hits the Standing Ovation and makes Alexander tap out to the ankle lock.

The System Challenges ABC At TNA Victory Road

TNA World Tag Team Championship: ABC (Chris Bey & Ace Austin) (c) vs. The System (Brian Myers & Eddie Edwards) (with Alisha Edwards)

ABC takes an early advantage and Austin grounds Myers. The champions continue to work together and take the fight to both of their opponents. Bey dives onto Edwards at ringside. Austin drills Edwards with a kick. Edwards sends Austin sprawling to the floor. Alisha distracts Bey, and Myers catches Bey with a Spear. In the ring, Edwards grounds Bey and controls the action. Myers tags in and continues to ground Bey. Edwards and Myers maintain the advantage.

Austin goes for the tag, but Edwards pulls him off the apron. Myers and Edwards continue to isolate Bey. Bey rallies, and Austin tags in. Austin clears house with a flurry of offense. Bey and Austin keep rolling. Edwards dumps Bey with a Blue Thunder Bomb. Myers levels Austin with a Roster Cut. Alisha grabs Bey’s ankle. Myers hits a Spear, and Edwards pins Bey with Boston Knee Party to win the titles.

Jordynne Grace Defends The Gold At TNA Victory Road

TNA Knockouts World Championship: Jordynne Grace (c) vs. Wendy Choo

Grace overpowers Choo early on. The match heads outside, and Choo goes to hit Grace with a loaded pillow, but Grace drops her with a DDT on the floor. Grace’s grandmother in the front row takes the pillow from Choo, and Grace clotheslines Choo. Back in the ring, Choo gains the upper hand. She continues to control the action. Grace rallies and slams her way out of a sleeper hold. Grace keeps rolling with a flurry of offense. She slams Choo for a two-count. Choo hits a belly-to-belly suplex and a brainbuster.

Choo evades the Juggernaut Driver but gets suplexed. Choo locks in a sleeper, but Grace reaches the ropes. Choo suplexes Grace and slams her. She traps Grace in a sleeper again, but Grace fires up and hits the Juggernaut Driver for the win.

Rosemary attacks Grace after the match, and Choo traps her in a sleeper. Choo chokes Grace out and celebrates with Rosemary.

Nic Nemeth Battles Moose At TNA Victory Road

TNA World Championship: Nic Nemeth (c) vs. Moose

Frankie Kazarian joins the commentary team ahead of the match. Mosse and Nemeth battle it out in the opening minutes. Nemeth gains the upper hand, but Moose powerbombs him. Moose overpowers Nemeth and controls the action. Nemeth tries to rally, but Moose catches him with a dropkick. Nemeth slams Moose onto the entrance ramp. Back in the ring, Moose takes control again as he maintains the power advantage. He grounds Nemeth, but Nemeth rallies and hits a hurricanrana onto the floor.

Moose slams Nemeth onto the apron. Nemeth fires up with some strikes. He clotheslines Moose over the ropes. Nemeth dumps Moose with a German suplex onto the floor. Moose powerbombs Nemeth through a table at ringside. Back in the ring, Nemeth evades a Spear and gets a two-count with a Fameasser and a Spear. The System comes out and distracts Nemeth. Moose counters the Danger Zone and gets a two-count with a Spear. Moose grabs the title, but Mike Santana rips it away and brawls with JDC at ringside. Nemeth hits the Danger Zone for a near fall.

Nemeth counters a powerbomb into a Fameasser, but The System pulls the referee out of the ring. They’re ejected from ringside, and John Bradshaw Layfield attacks them. Moose hits a Spear for a two-count. Nemeth and Moose trade blows. Nemeth clotheslines Moose, superkicks him, and hits Danger Zone for the win.
