Big Bill: I’m The Assistant To The Chris Jericho

Big Bill believes he is the Dwight Schrute to Chris Jericho‘s Michael Scott.

All Elite Wrestling‘s Big Bill was a recent guest on Rasslin’. When asked about working alongside Chris Jericho and trying not to break when he does certain things, Bill compared his relationship with Jericho to that of Dwight and Michael from The Office.

“With Chris, I’ve gotten used to it,” Big Bill admitted. “And I don’t know if you could see this, but whenever he says the hi guys, and I’m in frame, you know, I always give the wave in the background. I’m trying, like a subdued, I’m here too. I’m trying to — if he was Michael Scott, I’m trying to be Dwight. I blindly agree with him. I think I’m the assistant Chris Jericho, but technically they say I’m the assistant to the Chris Jericho. But in mind, it’s assistant Chris Jericho.”

Big Bill draws inspiration from Dwight Schrute for The Learning Tree

Later in the interview, talk returned to The Office and Big Bill spoke about how when he watches the show now and Dwight is in the background of a scene with Michael, he’s paying attention to what Dwight is doing.

“The thing is Michael made everybody around him better, like Dwight,” Big Bill said. “Like I was saying before, with Chris, Dwight feeding off of him was gold. So when I watched The Office through the first few times, I would always pay attention to who was speaking. But then when I started watching again, if Dwight is in the same shot as Michael, I pay attention to Dwight and his reactions in the background are gold.”
