The Blade is on the road to recovery after successful back fusion surgery.
Back in April, the All Elite Wrestling star revealed that he was sidelined from the ring with a back injury and going over his options. Months later, we found out which option he had chosen.
The Blade recently took to Instagram to reveal that he underwent successful back fusion surgery, posting the following message:
“Back fusion was a success *thumbs up emoji* Thank you to everyone for your continued support *heart emoji* Means a lot to this Grizzled Vet Utility Brother,” The Blade said in a post.
The tag team performer last competed for All Elite Wrestling on an episode of Ring of Honor with The Butcher against Top Flight on January 10.
According to the National Institutes of Health, recovery from back fusion surgery can take anywhere between six months to a year. So don’t expect The Blade to return to the ring for All Elite Wrestling anytime soon.
Blade’s partner, The Butcher has been completely mainly as a singles competitor for most of the year.
