Bianca Belair: Montez Ford Feels Guilty When He Thinks About Singles Run

Bianca Belair says that Montez Ford feels guilty about potentially going on a singles run, but she knows it’ll be huge when it happens.

For the majority of his time in WWE, Montez Ford has been paired up with Angelo Dawkins as The Street Profits. Fans have been waiting for Ford’s breakout singles run for years. However, The Street Profits are still together.

Speaking on The Ringer Wrestling Show, Bianca Belair was asked about Montez Ford possibly getting frustrated about not getting a push as a singles star yet and what those conversations looked like. (H/t Andrew Thompson of POST Wrestling for the transcription)

“Yeah, I mean, he’s ready,” Bianca Belair said. “He is rea-dy. He loves being in a tag team. Dawks is like his brother and sometimes, he goes back-and-forth. He’s ready then he gets guilty. He feels guilty because he’s like, ‘That’s my brother. I should wanna do as much as I can in this tag team…’ But he’s ready. I always tell him, it’s just not a matter of if, it’s just a matter of when. All that man needs is the opportunity and he will skyrocket and he’s been there for me when I main evented WrestleMania. I remember that WrestleMania, he was supposed to have a match and then they didn’t have a match and I main evented WrestleMania so, to see how he put aside, like, he was husband before he was WWE superstar.

“I can’t wait until I can do the same thing for him, I can’t wait until I can be there to support him the way that he’s been there for me but, it’s crazy, you know? He downplays himself so much though sometimes. I’m like, I have to remind him, ‘You are a Triple Crown Champion.’ They are an amazing tag team. I feel like they don’t get the credit sometimes that they deserve as a tag team. People forget what they’ve accomplished as a tag team.”

Bianca Belair: Montez Ford’s Run Will Be Big

Belair also stated that Montez Ford’s singles run would be colossal, and it would just be a matter of time. She said that he had everything it took to be a big star.

“It’s gonna happen and when it happens, it’s gonna be colossal, it’s gonna be big,” Bianca Belair said. “That’s another thing of just timing. I tell him all the time, it’s just timing. It’s timing. Like, ‘Listen, you have a long career and when it happens, it’s gonna be great.’ I don’t know if it’s gonna happen now, I don’t know if it’s gonna happen when I’m off and with a big belly, pregnant… I’m ready for him to go out there and really let loose and showcase what he can do.

“But it’s gonna happen. It’s gonna happen and I can’t wait because he has everything. He has everything that someone that needs to be at the top level. He has it and everybody sees it. It’s funny though, I was like, ‘Okay, the longer they keep holding off, it’s just gonna keep brewing more and more and more so, just let it keep getting as big as possible.’”
