Dana White points out that WWE started experimenting with production shortly after they merged with UFC.
UFC and WWE officially merged to form TKO in September 2023. Since then, they have collaborated in various ways, including WWE holding NXT Battleground at the UFC Apex.
In an interview with Johnny Resendiz, UFC President Dana White discussed UFC holding UFC 306 at The Sphere. WWE’s experimentation with production came up in the conversation (H/t Jeremy Lambert of Fightful for the transcription)
“Don’t you find that weird that we got involved in WWE not too long ago and now they’re experimenting with that?” White said. “[Laughs]. Our production team has a lot of influence over what’s going on.”
It’s important to note that many of WWE’s production changes have come since Lee Fitting took over as the new head of media and production in January 2024 following Kevin Dunn’s departure.
