In a tweet, former AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland seemingly responded to the backlash following his Lights Out Steel Cage Match against Hangman Page at AEW All Out. The match has sparked a lot of discourse, with critics wondering if the extreme violence crossed the line. Strickland acknowledged this response and wrote, “What did you expect? Go where others won’t go.”
Strickland’s match against Page has been criticized for several spots, including one where Page injected Strickland with a needle. The finish was also controversial, as Page broke a steel chair over Strickland’s head.
