Shayna Baszler has re-signed with WWE, according to a new report.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful (via Fightful Select) confirms that Baszler has re-signed with WWE. Per Sapp, the deal came together recently, with Baszler’s contract being set to expire this year. The report notes that the exact length of Baszler’s deal has not been confirmed. However, it is a multi-year contract. Sources said that Baszler’s approach to her WWE work was void of any ego, and she has been helpful when working with newer talent.
Shayna Baszler, 44, signed with WWE in 2017 and had a successful run in NXT. There, she held the NXT Women’s Championship twice. She moved to the main roster in 2020 and has held the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship three times.
In recent months, she has aligned with Sonya Deville alongside her tag team partner, Zoey Stark. They have been pushed on WWE Raw as Pure Fusion Collective. Baszler previously teamed up with Nia Jax before she joined forces with Stark.
Shayna Baszler previously competed in MMA and had a run in UFC. She also won a gold medal at the 2016 Frank Gotch World Catch Championships.
