AEW Dynamite Viewership Decreases On 9/4, Demo Also Drops

AEW Dynamite saw a decrease in viewership on September 4.

According to Wrestlenomics, 660,000 viewers watched the show on Wednesday night, and drew a 0.19 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic. The viewership is down from last week’s episode when 697,000 viewers tuned in. The demo also dropped from last week‘s episode, which drew a 0.22 rating in the same demographic.

What happened on AEW Dynamite this week?

This week’s show kicked off with a war of words on the microphone between MJF and Daniel Garcia. MJF breaks a wine bottle over Garcia’s head and busts him open.

Mariah May defeated Nyla Rose to retain the AEW Women’s World Championship. No match was teased for May heading into All Out this weekend.

Kazuchika Okada defeated Kyle Fletcher to retain the AEW Continental Championship. Okada will defend his title in a four-way match this weekend at All Out.

The closing segment saw a contract signing between Swerve Strickland and Hangman Page. Page no-showed the signing and appeared at Strickland’s childhood home instead, setting it all on fire.
