Hangman Page and Swerve Strickland were already set to clash in a Steel Cage Match at AEW All Out. However, Tony Khan has updated the stipulation.
The ending of the September 4 episode of AEW Dynamite saw Page set Strickland’s childhood home on fire. This progression was the latest step in the bitter rivalry that the two stars have been locked in for the better part of a year.
According to fans in attendance, Tony Khan addressed the crowd after the show and stated that the Steel Cage Match would no longer be sanctioned. Instead, Page would face Strickland in a Steel Cage Lights Out Match.
Strickland previously beat Page at AEW WrestleDream 2023. He then defeated Page in their unforgettable Texas Death Match at AEW Full Gear 2023. Page has been hell-bent on getting revenge since he returned to AEW in July.
