Hangman Page sent a shocking message to Swerve Strickland by burning down his childhood home at the end of the September 4 episode of AEW Dynamite.
Hangman Page and Swerve Strickland were initially set to sign the contract for their Steel Cage Match at AEW All Out on Wednesday. Instead, Hangman appeared on the big screen in front of Swerve’s home. Hangman said that he knows how much it meant to him, and he also reflected on Swerve breaking into Hangman’s house last year.
Page said that he was going to do everything he could to burn Swerve’s world to the ground, and that began with his house. After pouring some gas around the house, Page then lit a match and dropped it. The house immediately caught on fire. A shocked Strickland couldn’t believe what was happening, while Page sat motionless, sipping a drink.
The moment came on the same day that AEW announced that Swerve Strickland had purchased his childhood home, buying it back with the help of Prince Nana.
Page and Strickland have been feuding for months. The rivalry went dormant for a bit during Strickland’s world title reign but reignited upon Page’s return.
