Mariah May doesn’t seem to be too worried about her AEW Dynamite title defense against Nyla Rose later on tonight.
AEW Women’s World Champion was a recent guest on Rasslin’. When asked about her title defense later on tonight against Nyla Rose on Dynamite, May said Rose is a formidable opponent, but she’s not scared of her.
“She is a formidable opponent, but I’m not scared of her,” Mariah May said. “I’m not scared of anyone. Look what I did to Toni Storm. Toni Storm was the greatest champion we ever had. A lot of women trying to take that championship off her, I know because I was ringside for all of it, and they couldn’t.”
When asked about a potential return and rematch with Toni Storm, May said she doesn’t believe she’ll ever be back and that she’s retired.
“I don’t think she’s ever gonna come back,” Mariah May said. “I think that was her retirement, I don’t think she can speak anymore. She doesn’t have a single thought running through her head at any one time. She just speaks nonsense.”
