Arn Anderson Weighs A Potential WWE Return: Never Say Never

Arn Anderson provides an update on his future.

Since departing from All Elite Wrestling, Arn Anderson has dedicated much of his time to helping his son, Brock Anderson, take his career to the next level. Recently, though, the WWE Hall of Famer was spotted in a backstage segment at WWE SummerSlam, specifically with his former client and current Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes. Following this appearance, Arn Anderson addressed the possibility of him returning to WWE again in the future.

“Never say never,” Arn told Adam Barnard of Foundation Radio. “They really treated Brock and I so well. Flew us in and they put us up at the Westin. They had somebody picking us up for all the places we needed to go. The treatment was first class. It’s stressful doing Raw and SmackDown every week. It’s a lot of stress with that company, [doing] live TV, it’s tough. It was a lot of pressure, and when I left [in 2019], it’s probably a good thing. I was probably on the verge of having a freaking stroke or a meltdown or something.”

“It’s just so much pressure, but when I got out of the car that they had, I started seeing people who didn’t know I was there backstage. We came in a ramp in the back of the building and they looked at me like ‘What are you doing here?” but it was a smile on everyone’s face. Everyone was hugging my neck and I was hugging their neck back. I saw Cody first and I saw The Undertaker. Then I saw Randy Orton. These are all people that that I was there for their growth and everything. It was a diff different atmosphere. Everybody was smiling, everybody was happy. It was a different company, so kudos to whatever changes Hunter and company that have made this the atmosphere that it is.”

Regarding his own future with WWE, Arn admittedly isn’t sure of what it may hold. When it comes to his son, though, Arn is eager to get him more experience on smaller-venue and untelevised wrestling events, first and foremost. From there, Arn then hopes to continue sharpening Brock’s skills, so much so that a company will consider him to be an asset. Which wrestling company Brock will pursue has not been decided yet, but as Arn points out, “who wouldn’t be honored or flattered to be doing anything a cameo or anything with those guys [at WWE]?”
