Toni Storm wants to wrestle Mariah May again, but this time on home turf.
At AEW All In, “Timeless” Toni Storm collided with her former best friend and protégé, Mariah May. The Wembley Stadium bout had one of the best stories going into the show. Fans were devastated to see Mariah May pin Toni Storm to take home the AEW Women’s Championship.
However, AEW have recently announced their debut in Australia. This could spell bad news for “The Glamour”. Tony Khan recently revealed that AEW Grand Slam 2025 will take place in the Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane, Australia, giving Toni Storm hometown advantage in a potential rematch.
Toni Storm spoke to ESPN while in Australia to announce AEW Grand Slam in Brisbane. The former AEW Women’s Champion was asked about a potential rematch with Mariah May at the Suncorp Stadium, given that their first bout was in Mariah May’s hometown on London.
The Australian star said she hopes she gets her rematch with Mariah May in Australia. Toni Storm added that she wants to “beat the ever-loving crap” out of the AEW Women’s Champion, making her country proud in the process.
“I hope that’s the case.” Toni Storm said. “I hope I get my rematch against Mariah May. We did this on her turf last time at Wembley in London. I think it’s time to bring it home for me. I think it’s time to get back to Brisbane and beat the ever-loving crap out of her in front of all my family and friends, and make my country proud.”
