This past Monday, ESPN’s Top Rank Boxing’s Blow-for-Blow broadcaster Joe Tessitore made his Monday Night Raw debut. He shared his thoughts on his performance and how he felt.
After the show, Jackie Redmond caught up with Joe Tessitore to get his thoughts on his debut. Tessitore mentioned that he loved the crowd and he feels highly passionate.
“Well, first of all you [Jackie Redmond] were awesome tonight. You were phenomenal backstage. How do I feel? This is how I feel. [points to the crowd]. You feel alive, you feel passion-based, and you feel intensity. You wanna live in the red in life. That’s what this is, Raw. Live in the red. This was an awesome night.”
Joe Tessitore also mentioned that the love from the audience meant a lot to him.
“I was very into them. It was a great reception. It meant a lot to me. You know, I brought out the little kid in me tonight. I went and I grabbed a bunch of T-shirts and merchandise. I spread the love. And I wanna see smiles on these children’s faces.”
Joe Tessitore on the main event
Tessitore also mentioned the fact that the special moment that Rhea Ripley and Jey Uso had after the main event was beautiful and praised the main event as well.
“This is beautiful… And it should be a moment because of how the night started and what… And Rhea bringing this together. This was an awesome match from start to finish. I thought what was thread through this evening was very special and it was great to see it. But watch everybody just enjoy this.”
Tessitore also revealed that he has been a lifelong WWE fan and the person the WWE Universe got tonight was a passionate fan.
“Here’s the deal. It’s the kid who skipped school in eighth grade to go meet Big John Studd. It’s the kid who was rooting against the face to root for Paul Orndorff. That’s the kid that you got tonight. I wasn’t great tonight, but I was a passionate fan tonight,” Joe Tessitore said.
