Janel Grant will not be interviewed for the Vince McMahon docuseries on Netflix.
Brandon Thurston of POST Wrestling reports that filmmakers reached out to Janel Grant in an effort to arrange an interview for the series about Vince McMahon. But according to a spokesperson, an interview did not materialize.
“Netflix’s documentary group made initial outreach to Janel’s representation for an interview for this project,” a spokesperson for Janel Grant stated to POST Wrestling. “Despite this, no such interview came to fruition.”
Thurston also writes that Library Films, the producers for the docuseries, did not respond to a request for comment. The report cites a source who confirmed that Grant was approached about participating in the series multiple times. However, she opted not to.
Grant filed a lawsuit against Vince McMahon, John Laurinaitis, and WWE in January 2024, alleging that McMahon and Laurinaitis engaged in sexual assault and sexual trafficking. The allegations are now being investigated at the federal level.
“Mr. McMahon” releases on Netflix on Sept. 25.
