Joe Tessitore has officially joined WWE RAW.
Joe Tessitore made his debut on the September 2 episode of WWE RAW. Wade Barrett kicked off the broadcast and introduced Tessitore to the WWE Universe. Tessitore expressed his excitement and made it clear that he was honored to join the RAW broadcast team.
Tessitore previously appeared on the Countdown to WWE SummerSlam, where Michael Cole confirmed that he would be joining RAW. Alongside Tessitore’s debut, Cole moved to WWE SmackDown. Barrett had been on SmackDown, but he joined Tessitore on the red brand. Corey Graves and Cole will be the new SmackDown commentary team.
Tessitore has a background in calling boxing for ESPN. He also covers college football on ESPN/ABC and has called Monday Night Football, the Pro Bowl, and the Wild Card round of the playoffs. Following his WWE debut, he will continue to work with ABC/ESPN.
