A new report provides an update on WWE Hall of Famer John Bradshaw Layfield, or JBL, after he made appearances at AAA, GCW, and TNA events in recent weeks.
JBL has been making the rounds recently. He has made surprise appearances at AAA TripleMania 32: Mexico City, GCW Homecoming, and TNA Emergence. He also appeared at OVW Fight Night.
Mike Johnson of PWinsider reports that, per sources, JBL is signed to a Legends Deal with WWE. This means he is permitted to appear for other promotions as long as he does not use WWE’s intellectual property. Johnson writes that WWE has no issue with JBL making appearances, as they view it as they do with other Hall of Famers who do the same.
Layfield previously had a return run in WWE as Baron Corbin’s manager.
