Bronson Reed Tests Positive For COVID-19, Removed From Match On 9/2 WWE RAW

Bronson Reed has tested positive for COVID, so he is unable to compete on the September 2 episode of WWE RAW.

WWE announced that Bronson Reed was medically unable to compete on Monday, as he had COVID. As a result, he was out of his match in the WWE Intercontinental Championship Number One Contender’s Tournament. RAW General Manager Adam Pearce said he was working on finding a replacement. He noted that fans would have an answer Monday night on RAW.

Reed was scheduled to face Sheamus and Ludwig Kaiser in the tournament. Monday’s show will feature another Triple Threat between Dominik Mysterio, Dragon Lee, and Ilja Dragunov. The winners will meet Jey Uso and Pete Dunne in the finals on September 9.

Reed announced the news of his positive test in a post on Instagram.

Reed also commented on the news and said he would recover and return as soon as possible.

As of this writing, there is no word on when Reed will return to the ring.
