Ricky Starks responds to the rumors.
Former AEW World Tag Team Champion Ricky Starks has been absent from AEW since March. He has denied reports that he was injured. Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful (via Fightful Select) previously reported that the claims that Ricky Starks had been turning down pitches in AEW were somewhat accurate. Per Sapp, one source claimed that Starks rejected a pitch to break up with Big Bill. Starks has remained absent from AEW, but Tony Khan recently confirmed that he was still under contract.
In a tweet, Ricky Starks responded to a fan who wrote that he “disagreed with creative.” He wrote that enough was enough, and he never turned down anything.
As previously reported, Starks is expected to go to WWE when his AEW contract is up.
