On August 30, TNA presented TNA Emergence from Old Forester’s Paristown Hall in Louisville, Kentucky.
Among other matches, Nic Nemeth defended the TNA World Championship against Josh Alexander in an Iron Man match. Plus, Mike Bailey defended the TNA X-Division Championship in an Ultimate X match, and Joe Hendry, Mike Santana, and The Hardys faced The System.
The results are as follows:
- Pre-Show: Frankie Kazarian def. KUSHIDA when Kazarian kicked the ropes into KUSHIDA’s groin and hit him with Fade to Black for the win.
- In an interview, AJ Francis was asked who his partner would be. He gave Rich Swann a shout-out and said, “nothing but love.” He introduced KC Navarro as his partner. Navarro hyped himself up, and it was clear that he was a member of First Class.
- In a video package, Nic Nemeth and Josh Alexander discussed their Iron Man match.
- Pre-Show: TNA Digital Media Championship and Canadian International Heavyweight Championship: PCO (c) (with Steph De Lander) def. Shera (with Matt Cardona) via pinfall with the PCO-sault.
- Shera was revealed as Matt Cardona’s hand-picked “opponent “monster” for PCO.
TNA Emergence: Main Card
Ultimate X Match for TNA X-Division Championship: Zachary Wentz def. Riley Osborne, Mike Bailey (c), Jason Hotch, Hammerstone, and Laredo Kid to win the title.
- Bodies were flying early and often. Everybody was down after a multi-man powerbomb sent Bailey onto Hammerstone. Bailey and Wentz climbed up the structure attached to the ropes, and Wentz kicked him off, sending him onto a group of competitors. The participants battled on the ropes. Osborn climbed onto the cables and hit a Shooting Star Press. Bailey hit the Ultima Weapon. He and Wentz climbed up the ropes. Wentz knocked Bailey down, and Wentz won.
In an interview backstage, Josh Alexander looks forward to the main event, where he will challenge Nic Nemeth for the TNA World Championship in an Iron Man match.
Steve Maclin def. Eric Young
- Maclin and Young felt each other out early on. Maclin overpowered Young and gained the upper hand as he grounded the veteran. Young rallied, and both men were down after a collision. Maclin took control and talked some trash, firing Young up in the process. Maclin went for a dive, but Young ducked it, so Maclin landed hard on the floor. Young keeps rolling and spikes Maclin with a piledriver. Maclin reverses a piledriver into a jackknife pin for the win. Young offered a handshake after the bell, and Maclin accepted.

Jordynne Grace & Spitfire (Dani Luna & Jody Threat) def. Ash by Elegance & The Malisha (Alisha Edwards and Masha Slamovich) (with The Personal Concierge)
- The two teams started brawling right away. Threat dove onto her opponents at ringside, and Luna followed. Edwards was down at ringside, and the referee checked on her. Medical personnel came to check on her as well. The brawl continued at ringside. Grace and Ash got in the ring. Threat gained the upper hand. Edwards was helped to the back as the match continued. Ash took control, and Slamovich helped her maintain the advantage. Grace rallied and got a two-count with a Musclebuster. Slamovich took control back for her team by supexling Threat into the corner. Threat rallied again and slammed Ash for the win.
Backstage, PCO and Steph De Lander celebrated. De Lander said she’d be seeing Matt Cardona on Thursday.
TNA World Tag Team Championship: ABC (Chris Bey & Ace Austin) (c) def. First Class (AJ Francis & KC Navarro)
- Francis and Austin started the bout. Austin used his quickness to counter Francis’ power. Francis overpowered Austin. Bey tagged in and took control. Navarro took Bey down, and they traded fast-paced offense. Austin tagged back in and grounded Navarro. Francis grounded Bey, but Bey floored him with a DDT. Austin tagged in and cleared house with a flurry of offense. Austin tried to slam Francis and first failed, but he persevered and dumped the big man. Francis suplexed the champions. Francis slammed Bey. Austin hit The Fold. Bey rolled Navarro up for the win.
- The System (Moose, Eddie Edwards, Brian Myers, and JDC) def. Joe Hendry, Mike Santana, and The Hardys (“Broken” Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy)
- The System huddled together early on. Santana gained the upper hand on JDC and took the fight to the rest of The System. Matt Hardy tagged in and kept rolling. He hit Poetry in Motion. Jeff Hardy tagged in, and he maintained the advantage. Hendry and The Hardys teamed up to take down The System, sending them to the outside. The System took control, but Santana rallied. He sent JDC over the ropes and onto his teammates. Santana dove onto The System at ringside. The two teams brawled. Santana took control again. Edwards hit Matt Hardy from behind and grounded him. The System isolated him. Matt rallied and tagged Jeff, who cleared house with a flurry of offense. JDC distracted Jeff, and Brian grounded him. The System continued to isolate Jeff. Jeff rallied again and tagged Hendry, who fired up. The match broke down in chaos, and Hendry hit the Standing Ovation. Matt Hardy hit the Twist of Fate, but Moose broke it up. Edwards kicked Matt below the belt and hit Boston Knee Party for the win.
Iron Man Match For TNA World Title
60-Man Iron Man Match for TNA World Championship: Nic Nemeth (c) def. Josh Alexander (3-2)
- Nemeth and Alexander felt each other out, and they were evenly matched early on. Nemeth went for an early pin attempt. They continued to go back and forth. Alexander gained the upper hand and grounds Nemeth. Nemeth fought back, and they continued to feel each other out. Alexander locked in a submission hold, and Nemeth reached the ropes. Nemeth reversed an ankle lock into a pin attempt for a pinfall. (Nemeth leads 1-0).
- Nemeth continued to control the action. Alexander dropped Nemeth with a backbreaker. Alexander grounded Nemeth. Nemeth fired back with a suplex. Alexander gained the upper hand again and continued to ground Nemeth. Alexander taunted the crowd, and Nemeth rolled him up for a two-count. Alexander maintained the advantage. They brawled at ringside. Nemeth sent Alexander shoulder-first into the steel steps. Nemeth fired up with some offense in the ring. Alexander got a two-count on a pin attempt after an elbow drop by Nemeth. They traded pin attempts. Nemeth hit the Fameasser. Alexander drilled Nemeth with a right hand. Nemeth hit the Danger Zone for a pin. (Nemeth leads 2-0).
- Nemeth grounded Alexander and wrenched him in a submission. Alexander gained the upper hand and targeted Nemeth’s ankle. Alexander dropped Nemeth with some German suplexes. Nemeth responded with some German suplexes of his own. Both men were down after a flurry of offense. Alexander trapped Nemeth in an ankle lock and grapevined it, but Nemeth reached the ropes. The challenger continued to target Nemeth’s ankle. Alexander knocked Nemeth into the referee, taking the referee out in the process. Alexander got a table, but Nemeth countered a C4 Spike, sending Alexander onto the apron with a back-drop. Back in the ring, Alexander hit a Tombstone. Alexander got a chair. He pulled something out of his knee brace and hit Nemeth with it. He hit the C4 Spike for a pin. (Nemeth leads 2-1). Alexander quickly hit a C4 Spike for a pin. (Match tied 2-2).
- Nemeth trapped Alexander in a sleeper. Alexander climbed onto the ropes while in the sleeper, and both men went tumbling to the floor. Alexander dumped Nemeth on the floor. Back in the ring, Nemeth countered the C4 Spike and backdropped Alexander over the ropes, sending him through a table. Alexander got back in the ring and hit the C4 Spike, but Nemeth got his foot on the rope. They kept going back and forth. Nemeth hit a superplex. Nemeth rocked Alexander with a superkick. They keep battling. Alexander slammed Nemeth into an exposed turnbuckle and hit Danger Zone for a two-count. Nemeth countered the C4 Spike. He countered the C4 Spike again and hit Danger Zone. He hit the C4 Spike for a pin. (Nemeth leads 3-2). The time expired, so Nemeth retained. (Nemeth won 3-2).
John Layfield came out after the match and confronted Nemeth. He said something in Nemeth’s ear, nodded at him, and walked away after Nemeth nodded back.
