New Japan Pro-Wrestling presented their NJPW Capital Collision event from the Entertainment and Sports Arena in Washington, D.C., on August 30.
Mercedes Moné, Gabe Kidd, and other stars competed at the show.
The results are as follows:
- Pre-Show: Matt Vandagriff def. Allan Breeze
- Pre-Show: Empress Nexus Venus (Mina Shirakawa & Hanako) def. Viva Van & Trish Adora
- #1 Contender’s Match for NJPW STRONG Openweight Tag Team Championship: Hiroshi Tanahashi & Tomohiro Ishii def. Grizzled Young Veterans (James Drake & Zack Gibson) vs. TMDK (Bad Dude Tito & Robbie Eagles)
- Kevin Knight, Rocky Romero & YOSHI-HASHI def. Bullet Club War Dogs (David Finlay, Clark Connors & Drilla Moloney) when Knight pinned Moloney.
- Moloney attacked Knight after the match, and Finlay took out YOSHI-HASHI with a shillelagh. The Bullet Club War Dogs then ganged up on Knight and posed with their titles.
- No Disqualification: Dirty Work (Fred Rosser and Tom Lawlor) def. West Coast Wrecking Crew (Royce Isaacs and Jorel Nelson) when Rosser pinned Isaacs.
- The match began with the two teams brawling backstage. They continued to fight around the arena, and the match featured plenty of weapons, including doors and chairs.
- Zack Sabre Jr. def. Titán via submission.
- Tetsuya Naito vs. TJP
- Late in the match, TJP got knocked into the referee, and Naito checked on him. TJP spit mist in Naito’s face and hit a running kick for a near fall. TJP trapped Naito in a leg-lock, but he reached the ropes. Naito rallied and rolled TJP up for the win.
- NJPW STRONG Openweight Tag Team Championship: TMDK (Mikey Nicholls and Shane Haste) (c) def. Hechicero and Virus to retain the titles.
- Tomohiro Ishii and Hiroshi Tanahashi confronted TMDK after the match. Tanahashi challenged them to a match at NJPW Royal Quest IV.
- Hiromu Takahashi def. Mustafa Ali via pinfall.
- NJPW STRONG Openweight Championship: Gabe Kidd (c) def. “Blackheart” Lio Rush via pinfall.
- NJPW STRONG Women’s Championship: Mercedes Moné (c) def. Momo Watanabe with the Moné Maker.
- Moné celebrates after the bell. She grabs a microphone and tells the fans to say hello to their “CEO.” Moné comments on her return to the NJPW ring and recalls how she suffered a serious injury in her last match. She highlights her current success and says Moné changes everything. She tells everyone to keep that “Moné” in the bank. She celebrated with the fans for several minutes as the show came to an end.
