Donovan Dijak Makes MLW Debut At ‘Summer Of The Beasts’

Feast your eyes on MLW’s latest acquisition.

Donovan Dijak made his MLW debut at the company’s “Summer of the Beasts” event on Thursday night.

Dijak’s arrival was teased with a countdown clock at the start of the show. The clock hit zero during a four-way match featuring Little Guido, Jimmy Lloyd, LSG and Nolo Kitano, and Dijak made his way to the ring with MSL.

Dijak knocked out all four competitors before MSL referred to him as the “Disruptor” of MLW. Dijak conducted a faux interview with the competitors he just attacked before saying he was coming for the MLW World Championship.

More details on Dijak’s journey to MLW

Dijak became a free agent on June 28 when his WWE contract expired. He initially said he was not in a hurry to sign anywhere exclusively, telling WrestleMobs (via Irish Wrestling & Entertainment) that he is exploring his options after being under contract for seven years.

“I mean, yeah, we’ve…I wouldn’t say that they’re conversations, per say, but we’ve reached out to pretty much everybody at this point, just to see what the field has to offer in terms of what people either want or don’t want or what they’re looking for,” Donovan Dijak said. “I know that there’s a lot of things going on backstage with TV rights deals and things like that. New Japan’s doing some shifting around in terms of contracts and stuff.

“Listen, I’m not in a big rush. I’ve been under a contract for seven years. I could use some time not under contract. If the right contract comes around, that’s great. It has to be accomplished by the right conversation to go with it. I’ve been down the road of being handed a contract and said, ‘Take it or leave it and whatever happens, happens,’ and I go, ‘Okay, I need to prove myself. I need to show that I’m a good employee, I need to show that I’m loyal.’”
