A new title match was set for TNA Emergence this week, although one of the expected participants will not be competing.
Matt Cardona revealed that he is still not fit to wrestle on Thursday night’s episode of TNA Impact. However, he has drafted a replacement for his match against PCO at TNA Emergence.
Matt Cardona revealed to Santino Marella that his “Monster” will replace him in the match for the TNA Digital Media Championship and International Heavyweight Championship. The match will take place on the Countdown To Emergence pre-show on Friday night at 7:30 pm EST.
Who is the mystery Monster?
Fans are already speculating on who the mystery Monster could be, with guesses ranging from Mance Warner to TNA’s original monster, Abyss.
It’s worth noting that Abyss (Chris Park) has not wrestled since 2019, the same year he joined WWE as a producer. He has made some on-air appearances as an agent since then, but has not used the Abyss gimmick in several years. It’s always possible he could make a cameo considering the ongoing WWE/TNA partnership, but fans will have to wait and see who it is on Friday night.
