Baron Corbin loves being a girl dad, but Triple H helped put things in better perspective.
Being a parent definitely comes with its challenges, but it’s also very rewarding. Baron Corbin is a father to two daughters. Corbin told WrestleZone Managing Editor Bill Pritchard that the best unexpected part of being a girl dad is “everything.” He knows it’s a bit of a cop out answer, but he loves everything that comes with it.
“Everything. I mean, that’s such a bad answer because I was a sports guy, I wanted boys. I was like, ‘I need a boy., I gotta have a boy.’ And then I had girls. Now, everybody’s like, ‘Do you want to try for a third with a boy?’ I go, ‘No. Because I like having girls. I don’t want nothing to do with a boy.’ [My daughters are] so sweet,” Corbin explained.
“They are both hellraisers to an extent. My five-year-old especially is an absolute menace. And how you can be so mad at what they are doing in one second and then the next second they smile at you and give you a hug. And you’re like, ‘Oh yeah you can destroy the furniture that’s fine. I love you,’” Corbin joked. “Like, that’s the best part, it’s that unconditional love.”
Corbin said Triple H gave him some great insight about being a “girl dad” when he found out he was having a second daughter.
“It’s so cheesy but the girls just — they love their dad. Triple H actually told me one time, when I told him, ‘Ahh… I’m having another girl.’ And he’s like, ‘No. Girls are the best.’ He’s like, ‘Girls will always come back home, forever. Their whole life, they are going to come back home,’” Corbin said. “Where boys go off and start their own family and kind of do their own thing. And it’s true, because my wife still goes to her parents’ [house] once a week for dinner. We go over too. I think that’s a cool thing to look forward to as well.”
