CW & Brock Anderson Pick The ‘Lance Von Erich’ Of The Anderson Family

P-P-P-Powerhouse Anderson?

CW Anderson and Brock Anderson will make their MLW tag team debut at “Summer of the Beasts” on Thursday night. The pair are billed as “distant cousins” in the famed Anderson wrestling family that also includes Ole Anderson and Brock’s father, Arn.

WrestleZone Managing Editor Bill Pritchard spoke with the duo ahead of their MLW debut and asked them to pick the ‘Lance Von Erich’ of their family. Lance Von Erich (William Kevin Vaughan) was billed as the son of Fritz Von Erich’s “brother” Waldo, but neither one was actually related to the legendary Von Erich (Adkisson) family. Lance also got a brief mention in 2023’s The Iron Claw, as he was played by MJF.

Brock nominated Powerhouse Hobbs for the role, noting it’d get a big reaction… and he’s already got a great spinebuster.

Brock Anderson: “Currently in the business? CW you got any answers? I can give you one. I think it’d get a huge pop. If we walked out and then Powerhouse Will Hobbs walked out behind us. Because he’s a mean gruff son of a b*tch. And he’s got a nasty spinebuster. If we walked out with Hobbs, I think that would turn some heads.”

CW Anderson: “Yeah. We’d be the new version of the Dudleys.”

The invitation will have to wait a bit longer, as Powerhouse Hobbs is currently sidelined with a “significant” injury that took place on the April 24 episode of AEW Dynamite. Hobbs had surgery for a Patellar tendon repair in May.
