Rey Mysterio has detailed his recent stem cell treatment for injuries to his knees, ankles and shoulders.
The WWE Hall of Famer has had a new lease on life in recent years, thanks to stem cell treatment. He began the treatment in 2015 after leaving the WWE, and has had it intermittently for years after being recommended it by Charlie Haas.
Rey Mysterio increased the size of the treatment in 2019, and hasn’t looked back. Since coming back to the WWE that year, the luchador has been the best he’s been in decades.
Rey Mysterio posted a video of him getting stem cell therapy on his Instagram page. The post showed the WWE Hall of Famer being treated at the RejuvStem Regenerative Medicine.
In the caption, he revealed he first had the therapy with the company in July. Mysterio detailed the treatments he had, which included treatment in both knees, both wrists and in his shoulder.
“On July 17th of this year I had the opportunity once again to enhance my body’s well being by repairing it with a good dosage of stem cell therapy with my friends @rejuvstem in the port of Cancun.”
“For the past couple months prior to the treatment I had been waking up with constant pain around my knees, ankles, and shoulders. Rey Mysterio Had More Stem Cell Treatment In August
Rey Mysterio continued. He revealed that 32 days after the treatment, he woke up “completely pain free”. Considering he has been flying around the ring since 1989, it is a miracle what the treatment was able to do.
“On Monday August 19th, 32 days exactly after the treatment was my first day waking up completely pain free. No soreness or tightness around the ankles and the pain on my shoulder vanished as well. My body feels incredible and this is only the beginning stage, I know my body well and understand that it is going through the healing process as we speak. I am also aware that I have to execute my share of duties such as;”
