Bryan Danielson: My Full-Time In-Ring Career Will End When I Lose The AEW World Title

Bryan Danielson says it’s probably time for him to go home, but not yet.

Bryan Danielson won the AEW World Championship at AEW All In, where he put his career on the line against Swerve Strickland. Danielson has previously said that 2024 would be his last year as a full-time wrestler, and he needed to get neck surgery soon. Given his title win, his future was unclear.

On the August 28 episode of AEW Dynamite, Bryan Danielson came to the ring and discussed his victory, saying that it was his favorite moment of his career.

As for his future, Danielson noted that his AEW contract expired on August 1, he would need neck surgery, and his family was ready for him to come home. With that in mind, he said it was probably time for him to go home, but not yet. Danielson said he would not retire as the AEW World Champion, but his full-time career would end as soon as he lost the title.

Danielson said that he still had a lot of heads to kick in, and he would fight for the title as much as he could.

Danielson then issued an open challenge for AEW All Out, and he was attacked by Jack Perry.
