Dave Bautista hopes to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame at some point.
Bautista’s induction has been a long time coming, as various factors have gotten in the way. He was announced for the 2020 class, but the ceremony was pushed back due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Bautista stated that WWE agreed to induct him at a future ceremony where he could properly thank the fans. In 2023, the former world champion said that he was trying to be part of the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony in Los Angeles. He later stated that filming obligations prevented him from being involved. The 2024 ceremony came and went without Bautista getting inducted, leaving his status unclear.
During an interview with Chris Van Vliet, Dave Bautista was asked about the status of his WWE Hall of Fame induction.
“Eventually, I will. I want to, and there was a good opportunity for me to go in a couple years ago. I agreed to do it, [get inducted],” Dave Bautista said. “Hunter asked me to do it. I said, ‘Yeah, of course.’
“It was here in LA, and I thought it was perfect, it was storybook because I won my first title here in LA, and it just, we couldn’t figure it out because I was working on a film. I was in South Africa, so logistically, we just couldn’t make it happen. But yeah, I’m still open to it, and one day, I would like to.”
