Tay Melo‘s return may be coming soon, as she has announced that she’s cleared to compete.
On the latest edition of Sammy Guevara’s vlog, she and Guevara were at Wembley Stadium for AEW All In, and Melo noted that she wanted to wrestle. Guevara teased that it might happen soon, and Melo joked that he’d have to call Tony Khan and ask him, but she was cleared. Melo stated that she just got cleared, and she hoped to return soon.
Melo last wrestled in March 2023. She has not had a match for AEW since January 2023. At AEW Double or Nothing 2023, Melo and Guevara announced that they were expecting a child. Melo gave birth in November. In July, Guevara said that Melo was working on her comeback.
Guevara, Melo’s husband, recently returned to AEW and ROH. He won the ROH World Tag Team Championship with Dustin Rhodes on the August 17 episode of AEW Collision. Guevara competed at AEW All In. He, Rhodes, Katsuyori Shibata, and the Von Erichs beat Cage of Agony and Undisputed Kingdom.
As of this writing, there is no word on when Tay Melo will return to AEW programming. WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
