Report: Details On Swerve Strickland’s New AEW Contract

Swerve Strickland has signed a new deal with All Elite Wrestling. In an update, more details about the situation have been reported.

On the Zero Hour pre-show ahead of AEW All In, AEW announced that Swerve Strickland had signed a new deal with the company. During the announcement, it was noted that Strickland still had time left on his deal. However, AEW made re-signing him a priority.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful (via Fightful Select) reports that negotiations for Strickland’s deal began during his reign as the AEW World Champion. Per Sapp, the new contract is a multi-year deal that will keep him with AEW until at least 2028. The exact length has not been confirmed.

Sources noted that Swerve Strickland’s new deal is considered to be one of the biggest deals in the history of the company. Additionally, sources have made it clear that AEW has been quite happy with Strickland’s performances. These sources indicated that he is expected to continue to be at the top of the card during his deal.

Swerve Strickland joined AEW in March 2022 and signed a tree-year deal. He won the AEW World Championship by defeating Samoa Joe at AEW Dynasty. Strickland headlined AEW All In, where he lost the title to Bryan Danielson.
