The Lucha Bros Leaving AEW Is A Big Deal, They’d Do Well In WWE, Claims Matt Hardy

There have been several rumors surfacing the internet about the departure of former AEW World Tag Team Champions The Lucha Bros from the company. Recently, former AEW wrestler Matt Hardy shared his thoughts on the Lucha Bros potentially leaving the company.

While speaking on the latest episode of the Extreme Life of Matt Hardy, the former WWE Superstar mentioned that the Lucha Bros were an OG Tag Team. He also claimed that they were the greatest opponents for the current AEW World Tag Team Champions The Young Bucks. Hardy thus believes if the Lucha Bros are leaving AEW, it will be a huge deal.

“They are one of the OG [teams], they’re a couple of the founding talents and really staples of the tag team division. I know we talked about this, they’re probably the Young Bucks’ greatest opponents too which is a big deal if those guys do end up stepping away.”

Matt Hardy also believes that the Lucha Bros will do very well in the Stamford-based promotion WWE, especially with the fact that the Hispanic Market is given a lot of attention and importance in WWE.

“I do. I do, [believes they’d do well in WWE] especially with how much they are playing towards the Hispanic market in this day and age and especially, you know, going on tours in Mexico and South America. They would be huge, they would be huge,” Matt Hardy said. [H/T Fightful.com]

Booker T recently mentioned that he wants to see the Lucha Bros skip NXT and join on the Main WWE Roster as soon as they make their debut.
