Claudio Castagnoli has won the 2024 CMLL International Grand Prix.
The prestigious match took place at Arena Mexico on August 23, and Castagnoli emerged victorious. Castagnoli clinched the victory by last eliminating Volador Jr. in the bout. He was then presented with the Grand Prix trophy by the Swiss Embassy of Mexico
The 20-man elimination match pit Team Mexico against Team World. Castagnoli ed Team World to victory; the group also included Kyle Fletcher, Mansoor, Flip Gordon, AKIRA, Davey Boy Smith Jr., Yota Tsuji, Rocky Romero, Robbie X, and Ikuro Kwon. Team Mexico consisted of Volador Jr., Mistico, Ultimo Guerrero, Titan, Mascara Dorada, Atlantis Jr., Esfinge, Euforia, Valiente, and Templario.
Castagnoli will compete in the London Ladders match at AEW All In on August 25.
