“The Violence Queen” Arisa Nakajima wrapped up her decorated 18-year pro wrestling career at SEAdLINNNG’s recent Korakuen Hall show.
Nakajima competed in two tag matches at the event. The first with Miria Kouga and the second in the main event with her Best Friends tag partner Tsukasa Fujimoto.
Arisa Nakajima then took to her official Twitter to send a heartfelt post on her pro wrestling retirement. “This is the end! I was able to leave the ring safely surrounded by a full house of spectators and my best friends. Thank you so much for the past 18 years! I loved women’s wrestling until the very end, women’s wrestling was the best,” she says. The SEAdLINNNG crowd in attendance showered her with streamers, per Japanese wrestling tradition, for Arisa Nakajima’s farewell to the squared circle.
WWE’s Asuka, formerly known as Kana in the Japanese wrestling scene, previously worked with Arisa in multiple matches dating back to 2013 for promotions such as Diana and JWP. The two were also former REINA World Tag Team Champions in late 2014. Though she was unable to attend the show for Arisa, Asuka sent her flowers to the event to celebrate her storied career. She also replied to Arisa’s retirement post on Twitter reminding her to take care of herself and her body post-retirement.
Throughout her 18 years in wrestling, Arisa Nakajima has earned countless championships to her name. She is the reigning Sukeban World Champion (known as Commander Nakajima) and a 3-time SEAdLINNNG Beyond The Sea Singles Champion. Arisa has also held titles in promotions such as PURE-J, JWP, REINA, CMLL, and Ice Ribbon.
