The Grayson Waller Effect

Waller introduces their guest tonight, WWE Champion Cody Rhodes. Rhodes joins Theroy and Waller in the ring. Waller complains about Rhodes making everything about him. Waller notes that the idiots in the crowd don’t know the real Rhodes. All Rhodes cares about is the WWE Championship. How many of Rhodes’ friends have been destroyed while Rhodes is celebrated? Rhodes asks Waller if he’s done.

Rhodes puts over Kevin Owens. Waller rolls his eyes. Rhodes notes that he doesn’t use his friends, unlike Waller. Rhodes speaks directly to Theory and tells him Waller is just using him. Everyone is just waiting for Theory to realize it, too. Waller says they won’t turn on each other. But you know who would? Kevin Owens. Waller throws to a video package of Kevin Owens’ many betrayals. Kevin Owens interrupts and says Rhodes can admit everyone in that video sort of had it coming. Owens notes that the only person who didn’t was Kofi Kingston, who is awesome. Owens apologizes to Kingston again. The crowd cheers.

Owens doesn’t want to waste time, so instead of running down to the ring, getting into a fight, and waiting for someone to make a tag match tonight, let’s get SmackDown GM Nick Aldis out here right now. Aldis walks out on the stage. Aldis agrees with Owens and books Rhodes and Owens vs. Theory and Waller tonight. Owens asks if he has time to run down to the ring and beat up Theory and Waller. Aldis tells Owens to make it quick. Owens runs down to the ring, and a four-way brawl breaks out. Waller pushes Owens into Rhodes while Rhodes’ back is turned.

United States Championship Match: LA Knight (c) vs. Santos Escobar w/Legado del Fantasma

Angel and Berto pull Knight out of the ring during the match intros. Berto and Angel beat down Knight, sending him into the barricade and ring steps. Angel sends Knight back into the ring. The referee ejects Berto and Angel from ringside. Elektra Lopez gets in the referee’s face. Referee Carr kicks Lopez from ringside and calls for the bell. Escobar misses a splash in the corner as soon as the match officially starts. Escobar sends Knight into the ring post. Butterfly shoulder breaker by Escobar. After the break, Knight repeatedly slams Escobar’s head into the ring steps.

Escobar leaps off the barricade and lands a Metora on the commentary desk. Escobar sends Knight back into the ring and lands a splash for a near fall. Knight surprises Escobar with a Manhattan drop into a neckbreaker. Lariat by Knight. Leaping neckbreaker by Knight. Knight gets a near fall after a side effect. Escobar counters the BFT with a spinning elbow strike. Knight escapes the Phantom Driver. Dropkick by Escobar. Escobar and Knight fight up top. Knight pushes Escobar off the turnbuckle. Knight lands a double jump elbow drop. BFT by Knight. Knight pins Escobar.

Winner and STILL United States Champion, LA Knight!

Earlier today, Andrade barged into Carmello Hayes’ barber shop and yelled at him for being disrespectful after their match last week.

Backstage, Escobar berates the rest of Legado del Fantasma. Apollo Crews and Baron Corbin walk in and make fun of Escobar. Escobar is livid. Escobar pledges to speak to GM Aldis about getting a match next week to take care of Crews and Corbin.

Bianca Belair, Jade Cargill, and Naomi vs. The WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Alba Fyre, Isla Dawn and Blair Davenport

Dawn takes down Belair. Dawn mocks Belair. Belair surprises Dawn with a spinebuster. Superstar Press by Belair. Dawn kicks out. Belair backflips off the top over Dawn. Dropkick by Belair, Dawn rolls out of the ring. Belair crushes Dawn with a dive. After the break, the tag champs and Davenport take turns beating down Belair.

Belair manages to tag in Cargill. Cargill clears the ring. Blair superkicks Cargill. Naomi gets a blind tag and lands a dive off the top. Naomi hits the Heatseaker on Fyre while DDTing Davenport. Everyone brawls outside the ring. Belair dives off the top to the outside, clearing the field. Naomi lands a split-legged moonsault in the ring on Davenport for the win.

Winners- Bianca Belair, Jade Cargill, and Naomi

In-Ring Segment: The Bloodline

Sikoa tells the crowd to acknowledge him, which they do not. He has a lot to say tonight, so the crowd needs to shut up. 1. The OTC is DONE. He’s done. 2. It doesn’t matter if Kevin Owens or Cody Rhodes are champions; Sikoa promises to bring the championship back to his family and himself. The crowd chants for Roman Reigns. Sikoa yells at the crowd that Reigns isn’t here. Sikoa notes that there is something wrong with the tag team championships. As the crowd boos, Sikoa tells Fatu to step up. Sikoa tells Fatu to hand his tag title to Tonga Loa. Fatu can’t be a tag champion if he’s going to be Sikoa’s enforcer. The Street Profits and B-Fab interrupt and make fun of this being the 8675309th version of The Bloodline.

Backstage, LA Knight issues an open challenge for his United States Championship at Cash at Berlin.

WWE Tag Team Championship Match: The Bloodline (Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa) (c) vs. the Street Profits w/B-Fab

Loa lands a flurry of strikes. Dawkins fires back and beats Loa into the corner. Loa clotheslines Dawkins. Loa and Tonga double-team Dawkins. Dawkins manages to flapjack Tonga. Ford and Dawkins double-team Tonga. Standing moonsault by Ford. leaping clothesline by Ford. Tonga kicks out. Ford takes a shot at Loa at ringside. Tonga attacks Ford from behind. Back suplex/ neckbreaker combo by Loa and Tonga.

Dawkins and Ford hit their finish on Loa. Tonga breaks up the pin. Ford gets launched over the top, landing on the ring steps. Tonga hits a modified DDT out on the floor. Sikoa claps while watching from the commentary desk. After the break, Loa and Tonga work over Ford. Ford surprises Loa with a DDT. Ford manages to tag in Dawkins. Dawkins clears the ring. Tonga kicks out after Dawkins lands a head kick. Silencer by Dawkins.

Ford and Dawkins drop Tonga with the Anointment. Loa breaks up the pin. Loa and Tong roll out of the ring. Dawkins pounces Tonga into Loa. Both men fly into the barricade. Sikoa hops on the apron to distract the referee. Fatu superkicks Dawkins and Ford while walking boot-covered foot. Tonga pins Dawkins after a complete shot.

Winners and STILL WWE Tag Team Champions, The Bloodline!

After the match, The Bloodline attacks Dawkins and Ford. #DIY tries to make the save, but Ciampa and Gargano are quickly taken out.

Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens vs. A-Town Down Under

Owens beats down Waller. Rhodes goes to accept a tag from Owens, but Rhodes gets distracted by Theory. Waller cheapshots Owens. Theory destroys Owens with a rolling dropkick. Owens manages to land a bullfrog splash. Owens tags in Rhodes. Rhodes lights Theory up with a few strikes, followed by a powerslam. Disaster kick by Rhodes. Waller rolls out of the ring. Rhodes sets up a dive. Theory pulls Rhodes out of the ring. Rhodes tosses Theory over the commentary desk. Waller surprises Rhodes with a Rolling Thunder Flatliner. Rhodes kicks out.

Waller and Theory work over Rhodes. Theory walks into a Cody Cutter. Owens gets distracted by Waller before Rhodes can make the tag. Theory cuts Rhodes off as Owens finally makes it back up on the apron. Rhodes eventually makes it to Owens for the tag. Owens lands a series of sentons out on the floor. Waller ends up back in the ring. Cannonball by Owens. Owens crushes Waller with a swanton. Theory breaks up the pin. Rhodes catches Theory with Crossroads. Waller avoids a Stunner but eats a pop-up powerbomb from Owens. Owens pins Waller.

Winners- Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens

Owens looks as though he’s about to hit Rhodes with the championship, but he hands it to him instead. Rhodes and Owens celebrate.
