This past Thursday night on Ring of Honor Television, popular Luchador Angelico competed in his very first Pure Rules Match and managed to also pick up the win.
Upon seeing his performance, his partner and mentor Serpentico appreciated Angelico. Serpentico then suggested that Angelico goes after the Ring of Honor Pure World Championship.
“Hey Angelico what a tremendous victory tonight. Hey, I have an idea. You should challenge for the Ring of Honor Pure Championship.”
Angelico was caught by surprise when Serpentico suggested it. He felt that just one win in his first ever Pure Rules match might not be enough to go after the Pure World Championship.
“Wait. Are you suggesting that I challenge for the Pure Wrestling Championship after my very first Pure Rules Match? Ha. You are crazy Snake Man.”
As Angelico seemed doubtful, Serpentico mentioned that it would make their master proud.
“Well, I don’t know. But if you do it, you will make our teacher very proud. Think about it.
Angelico then thought about it and then laid out the challenge to the Ring of Honor Pure Champion Lee Moriarty.
“He’s right. It would make Nivaro proud. Okay. I’ll do it. Lee Moriarty, I’ve seen your progression. Your technical evolution. And I believe you. You are without a shadow of a doubt the best young technical wrestler in the world today. But, you are not the protegè of Negro Nevaro. You are not a master. I am. Lee, this is me challenging you to a Pure Rules Championship match. A technical spectacle for the whole world to enjoy. And all you have to do is accept,” Angelico said.
