Rey Mysterio Wants ‘Mask vs. Mullet & Mustache’ Match With Dominik Mysterio

Rey Mysterio isn’t done with his son, Dominik Mysterio yet.

Since Clash at the Castle 2022, the father/son duo have been sworn enemies. Dominik turned on his dad in Cardiff that night, joining up with the Judgement Day and turning heel for the first time in his career.

Dominik has insulted his dad constantly since that day. He’s called him a deadbeat dad, goaded him into matches, and even wrestled him twice on TV and PPV. This included their huge match at WrestleMania 39, which Rey Mysterio won.

However, with how often Dominik Mysterio insults his father, it seems likely a third match in the trilogy will take place one day. If it does, then Rey Mysterio wants to take the Mexican tradition of the lucha de apuesta match to another level.

Rey Mysterio spoke with Liam Crowley of ComicBook at Fanatics Fest in New York City. The WWE Hall of Famer revealed that he wants to put his mask on the line against his son Dominik. However, he wants Dominik Mysterio to put both his hair or his mustache on the line too.

However, when ComicBook’s Liam Crowley suggested both things were put on the line, Rey Mysterio reacted very enthusiastically.

“If that trilogy does happen, and when it does, I am willing to put my mask on the line. And he loves his mullet so much. So I would be expecting for him to put his mullet on the line. That or his Dirty Sanchez (mustache).”

Rey Mysterio Wants To Give Fans A Good Farewell When He Retires

Rey Mysterio wants a good farewell with the fans when he finally reitres.

Speaking with Busted Open at Fanatics Fest NYC, Rey Mysterio was asked about what was left for him to do.

He revealed that he wants to give fans a good farewell when he retires. The former WWE Champion wants to do something that will mean something, both to him and the fans who have followed him for decades.

“I think what’s left is to be able to plan a nice sunset and be able to thank everyone that has followed and supported me throughout the years and give them, when the time is right, a good farewell,” Rey Mysterio said. “Not something that I’ll happen one time and then come back and do it again. Maybe even a farewell tour, I don’t know. But something that can mean something to me and to everyone that will be there, whether it’s in every city or in a country, this is the last time we will be together.
