Bron Breakker Highlights The Biggest Obstacle Transitioning From Football To WWE

There have been many top names in WWE and in the world of professional wrestling who had been into other sports prior to entering the wrestling industry. Some of the top names include Brock Lesnar, Goldberg, Roman Reigns, and many more.

Another name on that list is the current WWE Intercontinental Champion Bron Breakker. The Wild Dog used to be a collegiate and pro football player. He played at Kennesaw State University, and later signed as a fullback for the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent.

Bron Breakker was recently interviewed by WrestleZone Managing Editor Bill Pritchard. During the interview, Breakker reflected on the hardships he faced as a football player.

“The physical part from football to wrestling is a big change, you know what I am saying? Wrestling’s tough. Very, very tough,” Breakker explained.

However, he said coming in as a legacy talent was not something that affected him as much as switching sports.

“I don’t think there’s anything I’ve had to overcome really being a legacy child,” he added. “Just because it’s been that way my whole life in sports. So, nothing’s really changed. But sport itself is very — There’s similarities. But there’s also big differences. Physicality is a big difference.”

Bron Breakker on veterans praising him

During the same interview, Breakker thanked the big stars who had praised his performance so far on the main roster.

“I am really thankful and appreciative of all of the kind words from all the huge names that you mentioned. I don’t let it blow my head out or get to think that I am really good or some crap,” Breakker explained. “Because I know I have a lot of work and a long way to go. Because I want to have a long illustrious career.

“I have a lot of goals. So, any time those names that you mentioned or anyone who’s been in our industry before that has done great things that mention me or anything is positive and is great,” he continued. “So, I really appreciate that stuff. I just don’t let it — I don’t get a big head or anything off of that stuff. [I] stay grounded,” Bron Breakker stayed.
