AEW Collision Results – August 17, 2024

This week’s episode of AEW Collision kicks off with Britt Baker in action against Harley Cameron.

Britt Baker defeated Harley Cameron

  • Britt Back hits Harley Cameron with the curb stomp to score the pinfall victory.

After the match, Mercedes Moné and Kamille come out on the stage. Moné sends Kamille to the ring and Baker arms herself with a kendo stick. Kamille takes the kendo stick away from Baker and breaks it over her knee. Kamille proceeds to beat Baker down inside the ring as Moné watches on from ringside. Following the beatdown, Moné gets in the ring and poses alongside Kamille over a fallen Britt Baker.

A video package plays talking about Thursday’s announcement that AEW All In will be held in Texas in July 2025.

Dustin Rhodes and Sammy Guevara defeated The Undisputed Kingdom to win the Ring of Honor World Tag Team Titles

  • After lots of interference outside of the ring, Sammy Guevara hit Mike Bennett with a Swanton Bomb. Dustin Rhodes scored the pinfall for his team.

Chris Jericho speaks on AEW Collision

Chris Jericho is backstage and he’s informed he’ll be taking on The Dynamite Kid Tommy Billington on AEW Dynamite this week. Jericho says he’s gonna have a busy week and once again mentions that HOOK is stupid to come back and challenge him again after he shot a fireball in his face. Jericho says once he beats HOOK at All In he’s out of the Jericho Vortex forever.

Chris Jericho says the Billington match is a warmup for him and he knew his uncle the original Dynamite Kid. Jericho says he wouldn’t like Billington because he hasn’t been trained properly. Jericho talks about training in the Dungeon and calls himself a modern-day Stu Hart. Chris says he’s gonna tear Billington apart on Dynamite.

Hologram defeated Angelico (w/ Serpentico)

  • Hologram gets Angelico with a backslide pin to score the victory.

A video package plays where the history of the Tiger Driver ’91 is explained and why Will Ospreay no longer wants to use the move.

TNT Champion Jack Perry defeated Danny Orion in a non-title match

  • Jack Perry hits Danny Orion with a running knee to score the pinfall victory.

After the match, Perry spraypaints Orion’s face white before throwing him and the TNT Championship in a green body bag that says “Darby” on it. Perry unveils a new darker TNT Championship.

A new match announced for AEW All In

Christopher Daniels is backstage and announced a London Ladders Match at AEW All In for the Trios Titles. The match will feature The Patriarchy, House of Black, Bullet Club Gold, and a fourth team that will be determined next week on Collision.

Claudio Castagnoli defeated Lio Rush

  • Claudio Castagnoli hits Lio Rush with a launching European Uppercut to score the pinfall victory.

Kris Statlander and Stokely Hathaway are backstage. It’s revealed the winner of their mixed tag match on All In: Zero Hour will get to pick the stipulation of the CMLL Women’s World Title match at All Out next month.

Eddie Kingston is at home and is cutting a promo. Kingston says he’s still injured and this isn’t an update but he wants to talk about what he’s been seeing with Bryan Danielson. Kingston says the Danielson that he’s seeing is being disrespectful to this sport and he’s going to get beat because he doesn’t have the fire in him anymore.

Eddie questions why Danielson is doing the match is he doesn’t have it anymore. Kingston wonders if Danielson will write his last love song to pro wrestling on Sunday or if he’s just going to lose.

Mariah May defeated Londyn Dior

  • Mariah May hits Londyn Dior with Storm Zero to score the pinfall victory.

Toni Storm debuts her new film on the Tron and Mariah May snaps and attacks Dior with the shoe.

Who will challenge the Young Bucks at AEW All In later this month?

FTR and The Acclaimed (w/ Billy Gunn) wrestle to a time-limit draw

  • The match goes the 30-minute time limit and ends in a draw.

Both teams brawl after the match as Tony Khan informs Tony Schiavone that it will be a three-way for the tag titles against the Young Bucks at All In as AEW Collision goes off the air.
