The feud between Drew McIntyre and CM Punk is set to continue. A rematch is reportedly planned for an upcoming WWE premium live event.
Drew McIntyre and CM Punk have been feuding throughout 2024. Punk suffered a torn triceps that kept him sidelined for several months, but the bad blood between him and McIntyre continued to escalate. Punk cost McIntyre the world title on multiple occasions. Meanwhile, McIntyre has both mocked and attacked him.
They finally clashed at WWE SummerSlam, where McIntyre emerged victorious. Punk has since made it clear that he wants a rematch. He then whipped McIntyre with a belt on the August 12 episode of WWE RAW. This led many fans to assume that they would face off in a Strap Match in the near future.
In the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reports that CM Punk facing Drew McIntyre in a Strap Match was confirmed for WWE Bash in Berlin.
This comes after Ibou of WrestlePurists reported that, per multiple sources in WWE, Punk facing McIntyre in a Strap Match was planned for WWE Bash in Berlin.
