Mike Bailey has named which WWE stars he’d love to face in a crossover match.
While he has yet to be involved, TNA have been enjoying their relationship with NXT in recent months. Some top stars, like Joe Hendry and Jordynne Grace, have appeared in NXT.
This has also included some NXT wrestlers appearing in TNA. Charlie Dempsey and Wes Lee are just two names who have made the jump so far. More crossover is expected, with “Speedball” Mike Bailey looking forward to some dream matches.
Mike Bailey spoke with Alistair McGeorge of Metro in an exclusive interview. He stated that his dream match in a TNA/WWE crossover would be against AJ Styles. He called Styles’ recent match with Naomichi Marifuji “amazing”, and hopes he is next in line to face the former TNA, WWE and IWGP Champion.
Speedball also noted that NXT stars like Trick Williams and Oba Femi are wrestlers he’d love to face. He compared Oba Femi to Samoa Joe, which is huge praise for the NXT North American Champion.
“Of course, AJ Styles would be the dream.” Mike Bailey said. “He just had an amazing match with Naomichi Marufuji over in NOAH. A great, long and storied rematch that they had over there.”
“But when I look at NXT, I see guys like Trick Williams, who I think is really standing out right now, looking absolutely amazing.”
“I look at Oba Femi, I think Oba Femi in the X Division [would be] absolutely amazing. He would kind of feel like Samoa Joe did, really being the example of the X Division being about no limits.”
