Bryan Danielson has high praise for Darby Allin and how he competes inside the squared circle.
All Elite Wrestling‘s Bryan Danielson was a recent guest on Gorilla Position. When asked for his thoughts on Darby Allin’s in-ring style, Danielson compared Allin to that of a magician.
“I will say this about Darby Allin. One, he’s crazy. But two, there’s a magician quality about him,” Bryan Danielson said. “Because he trains — I don’t want to give away too much. For as dangerous as this stuff looks, he’s about as safe as you could be with it.
“And he was trained by Buddy Wayne, right? And Buddy Wayne, he’s from the Pacific Northwest, kind of where I’m from. He’s like a workers worker. Like he would chop you hard. But if you hit him with something too hard, you’d be like, ‘Whoa, brother. What are you doing?’ You know what I mean? That sort of thing.
“So yeah, Darby is a real magician. He has said that he wanted to do some things and I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, there’s no way to do that safe.’ And then he explained it to me, and I was like, ‘Oh. I have never thought of that.’ But my mind doesn’t work like that.”
